The strategy is to expose the students to Business and Management Terms which are commonly used. The students will first understand these terms with the corresponding correct pronunciation and commonly accepted use of the terms. Afterwards, the students will understand the business and management concepts behind the terms through discussions during the sessions. The class will also be given business and management issues to discuss on. In this manner, their English will be sharpened through the discussions, at the same time, they will understand business and management concepts.
The following are the approaches in training students about English Grammar:
Exposure to common grammatical mistakes
Filling correct words in sentences with blanks
Completing sentences
Grammar Correction in Sessions
Throughout the sessions, the wrong grammars committed by the students will be noted and corrected in class. In such manner, the students will be able to learn slowly the correct grammatical structures of sentences. Applied Grammar Training is done through application English rather than going through the technical approach in teaching English.
Interview skills are discussed with what to do and what not to do during an interview.
Part of the business students will learn about the emails:
Email is much less formal than a written letter. Emails are usually short and concise.
If you are writing to someone you don't know, a simple "Hi" is adequate. Using a salutation such as "Dear Mr Smith," is too formal.
When writing to someone you know well, feel free to write as if you are speaking to the person.
Use abbreviated verb forms (He's, We're, He'd, etc.)
Include a telephone number to the signature of the email. This will give the recipient the chance to telephone if necessary.
It is not necessary to include your email address as the recipient can just reply to the email.
When replying eliminate all the information that is not necessary. Only leave the sections of text that are related to your reply. This will save your reader time when reading your email.
