This program consists of specially designed English courses for students 8 to 15 years old. It is a 20-hour program, tutored 15 minutes daily, 5 days week and completes in 4 months. English 2 is intended for the more advanced kid or teen learners. Students who can take this course should already be familiar with the Fundamentals of English or those who have had a few years training and are returning to start learning English again. As introduction, students will have review or refresher lessons on phonetics/sounding, pronunciation, common greetings or phrases, and short dialogues.
In this course, students will be able to practice more on all skills such as, listening, speaking and fluency, reading, vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation. They can also improve their accent through rhythm, stress and intonation lessons and activities. Free conversation and short dialogues practices can enhance their speaking ability and self – expression. Journal writing not only develops students’ writing skills, but also invites them to relate lesson themes to their own lives and experiences.
Although learners of this course are familiar with English and have a good basic ability to communicate, their skills will be refreshed and enhanced after the program. They can also move quickly to more advanced language learning courses based on their performance.
Elementary students will be given preparation for admission tests and other exams, if required.
What is expected?
After the first month of training, the student will be able to comfortably read longer paragraphs, ask and answer questions, start a conversation, and improve clarity of speech. At the end of this program, the student is expected to:
improve confidence and fluency in speaking
widen vocabulary to 150+ words and phrases
improve speech and pronunciation
extend knowledge on English phrases and greetings
easily introduce oneself or share personal information
Comfortably start creating longer conversations including those based on personal or general topics, family, likes or dislikes hobbies, etc.
describe their daily routines, lifestyle and the world around them at ease
be able to travel, shop and order a meal in English
be able to give opinion
be able to take and study the English subject, or even enter an English – speaking school after successfully completing all levels
