This program consists of specially designed English courses for students 16 to 20 years old. It is a 24-hour program, tutored 30 minutes daily, 3 days week and completes in 4 months. It can be covered in shorter duration with longer class and higher frequency.
In this course, students are introduced to simple language structures, basic common phrases, useful vocabulary, basic phonics, the letters of the English alphabet and their sounds. This program also includes pronunciation of simple expressions and formation of simple sentences. Students will also learn how to express messages and feelings by intonation.
Students who are more familiar with the alphabet and phonics will be focused on developing basic oral language through question and answer, interview topics, topical conversation and vocabulary exercises. Teens who are already familiar with vocabulary, basic oral language and basic grammar will be focused on developing their reading and comprehension skills through fiction or nonfiction stories, articles, journal entries, current events materials and other reading resources. They will also be introduced to new grammar structures and vocabulary work.
High school students will be given preparation for University admission and entrance exams, if required. Also, college students will be introduced for examinations, job interviews and career development.
What is expected?
After the first few lessons, starters will be able to say his/her name and nationality, ask basic questions, give basic answers, and know basic greetings and expressions. At the end of this program, the student is expected to:
build confidence and fluency in speaking
build or widen vocabulary
improve pronunciation
be aware of common greetings and phrases
be able to fulfill basic communication needs like introducing oneself or giving personal information
be able to start creating conversations including those based on personal or general topics, talk about family, likes or dislikes, hobbies, etc.
be able to describe their daily routines, lifestyle and the world around them
be able to book a hotel room, travel, shop and order a meal using basic and common English
be able to give opinion
be able to take and study general subjects in English, prepare for job interviews and internships, or even enter an English – speaking school after successfully completing all levels
